Lowland Expedition Leader Award

We are now delivering the Sports Leaders UK Level 3 Lowland Expedition Leadership Award (LEL) and Lowland Walk Leadership (LWL) Award. These replace the Basic Expedition Leader Award (BELA) and Day Walk Leader from the 1st September 17.

The Lowland Expedition Leadership Award is the foundation award for leading and teaching groups in the countryside which involves overnight camping. The Lowland Walk Leadership Award is to the same level as the LEL but with out the overnight requirements. Both these awards require a training course over a minimum of 72 hours for the LEL and 45 for the LWL, included in this is an assessment of 20 hours for the LEL; the LWL is assessed during the training course. We are able to facilitate both training and assessment.

These awards meet the requirements of the Duke of Edinburgh Award for tutors, supervisors and assessors.

Course cost includes Sports Leaders UK registration fee, all camp site fees and Silver National Navigation Award.
