Fancy gliding down a river with the sun on your back and the bird song to keep you company? Follow that with a picnic and what better way to enjoy a family day out in North Yorkshire!

Using our own fleet of open canoes we can offer family picnics to skills training for more challenging expeditions. If you own your own kayak, we can also offer skills training up to grade 2 moving water.

We are also able to offer you the British Canoe Union Foundation Safety and Rescue Training (FSRT) course.

River Dates Calendar	Ladies who Paddle river trip For those ladies who enjoy a day out in the country why not take a scenic paddle trip down the River Ure. A picnic lunch is included in this cruise by open canoe from Ripon to Boroughbridge.
River Dates Calendar	Introduction to Paddlesport If you have ever wanted to try kayaking or canoeing, then this is the day for you. A fun, relaxed day with qualified instructors to let you try the different types of craft available for paddlesport.
River Dates Calendar	BCU/UKCC 2 Star Assessment A one day assessment in both kayak and canoe. This award proves you are competent in both disciplines to a nationally recognised standard. The 2 star is a prequiste for the BCU/UKCC Level 1 Coach Award.
River Dates Calendar	BCU 3 Star Touring Award River Touring - BCU 3 Star Award. Are you a recreational paddler who wants to move on to extended trips and up your skill level? If so, this award is for you. The course looks at river skills and environmental considerations so that you can consider yourself an intermediate paddler.
River Dates Calendar	BCU Foundation Safety and Rescue (FSR) Course The Foundation Safety and Rescue (FSR) formally the Canoe Safety Test is for all paddlers irrespective of craft and is the pre-requisite for attendance at a coach training course. The main objective is to instruct basic safety and rescue skills that can be applied in a sheltered water environment.
River Dates Calendar	BCU/UKCC 2 Star training Course Learn to handle both a kayak and canoe during this two day course. We will teach you how to be competent in both disciplines to a nationally recognised standard. The 2 star is a prequiste for the BCU/UKCC Level 1 Coach Award.

If so, this course is for you. We will take your existing paddling skills and transfer them to moving water. The 3 Star is a prerequiste for UKCC Level 2 Coach.
River Dates Calendar	Intermediate Kayak - 3 Star Skills Are you a flat water paddler who wants to move on that little bit more? Then this course is for you. We will take your exciting paddling skills and transfer them to moving water.
River Dates Calendar	Discover Canadian Canoeing Using a Canadian canoe, or open boat as they are known, is a great way to get on the water and explore rivers and lakes. Stable and roomy, you can sit comfortably in them and still have plenty of room for food, camping equipment etc.
