Intermediate Kayak - BCU 3 Star Assessment
Are you a flat water paddler who wants to move on to white water and up your skill level? If so, this award is for you. The 3 Star is a prerequiste for UKCC Level 2 Coach. At 3 Star level you are considered to be an intermediate kayaker and a competent member of a group on grade 2 water. This is a one day assessment looking at the skills required to paddle on grade 2 water. These include breaking in, breaking out, ferry gliding, river running and rescues. At the end of the day you will leave with a better understanding of and the confidence in paddling on moving water within a group.
Cost:
- £55 per person, including water fee.
- BCU fee payable of £10 for members, £20 for non members
