Discover Kayaking – British Canoeing Personal Paddle Award.
Kayaking takes many forms, from white water to river and sea touring, and is a great way to get on the water and discover the countryside around you.
The Discover Award allows you to develop your decision making and practical skills for a fun and safe time on the water, taking you on the next steps towards becoming a proficient and independent paddler. Learn how to choose and effectively use equipment, whilst developing an understanding of the factors which affect your paddling; giving you the confidence to progress to making your own choices with the Explore Award.
To increase your knowledge and confidence, we now include British Canoeing’s Paddle Safer Award as part of the course.
We recommend that for children to get the most out of this award, they are 10yrs or older.
All equipment is provided. We do have drysuits and wetsuits available; if you wish to use one on the course, there is an extra fee, please contact us.

Paddlesport is one of the fastest growing activites in the UK. This one day course is an excellent opportunity to learn the basics of handling these craft and their potential.
