This is an accredited, Ofqual Level 3, award from ITC First. Join us on a very hands on, practical first aid course. This award is accepted by all the outdoor National Governing Bodies as validating their qualifications. A L3 Outdoor First Aid qualification may also be a better alternative to an FAW for outdoor workers.
River Mountain Experience are an accredited provider for ITC First courses, and the course is delivered by an experienced outdoor instructor and ex RAF Mountain Rescue Team member.
This 16hr course is also an IOL Accredited Course
During the course you will cover:
Assessing the casualty, dealing with collapse and unconsciousness, Safe Airway Positions, CPR for Cardiac Arrest and Drowning/Children, Seizures, Asthma, Choking, Environmental issues, heat & cold, fractures, minor burns, Anaphylactic Shock, incident management and more!
This is a busy weekend, and taking place both inside and out; whatever the weather! Be prepared to act as a casualty, spend time laying on the ground, out in the wet, cold, snow and, maybe, sunshine. A very practical first aid course, which will allow you to practice what is taught and also experience being the first aider at a scene.
Cost includes manual, registration fee, tea & coffee plus biscuits. You will need to bring your own lunch with you.
