Paddle & Picnic
Enjoy a day out in North Yorkshire on the lovely River Ure between Ripon and Boroughbridge. With a picnic at the scenic West Wick Lock on the Ure, using Canadian Canoes there is plenty of room to be comfortable and to carry the food. You don’t even have to bring your own lunch if you don’t want to; using local caterers we can provide the lunch for you.
Meeting point is the Ripon Canal Basin, where we will allocate the boats and fit bouyancy aids etc. Then move the cars to the finish point at Boroughbridge marina, returning to Ripon. For those waiting at the start, there is the Forge Deli which sells coffee etc. and the finish has toilet facilities and a small refreashment kiosk.
- Included in the price: Canadian canoe, paddle and buoyancy aids. A waterproof bag for keys etc. Hot & cold drinks during the day, experienced guide and instruction.
